About

I’m Hristofor Georgiev, an AWS Solution Architect with over 20 years of experience designing and delivering technology solutions that scale.

My Journey

My career began in an era when “the cloud” was still a buzzword, not a reality. Over two decades, I’ve watched the technology landscape transform from on-premises data centers to the fully elastic, serverless world we live in today — and I’ve been there every step of the way.

I started as a hands-on engineer, troubleshooting production outages at 3 AM and wrangling infrastructure with whatever automation tools were available (back then, it was mostly shell scripts and sheer determination). Those early experiences taught me something invaluable: the best solutions are the ones that anticipate failure before it happens.

Over the years, I evolved from an infrastructure engineer into a Solution Architect, helping organizations of all sizes — from scrappy startups to Fortune 500 enterprises — navigate their cloud journeys. I’ve led migrations that moved thousands of workloads to AWS, designed architectures that serve millions of requests, and mentored teams who now build systems I still admire.

What I Do

As an AWS Solution Architect, I specialize in:

What Drives Me

Three things keep me going:

  1. Solving hard problems — There’s a unique satisfaction in untangling a complex architectural challenge and finding an elegant path forward
  2. Continuous learning — The cloud evolves rapidly, and I thrive on staying ahead of the curve. If you’re not learning something new every week, you’re falling behind
  3. Giving back — This blog is my way of paying forward everything I’ve learned. Every article, every lesson shared, is an opportunity to help someone else avoid the pitfalls I encountered

Beyond the Cloud

When I’m not designing architectures or writing blog posts, you’ll find me:

Let’s Connect

I’m always happy to connect with fellow technologists, discuss architecture challenges, or explore collaboration opportunities.
